Over the last 10 years, men worked constantly more than women on average. However, whereas the number of actual weekly working hours among men decreased gradually from 2012 to 2022, it remained relatively stable among women. In 2022, men worked on average 36.1 hours per week, while women worked 31 hours. The number of average actual weekly working hours in Norway decreased gradually over the last decade.
