Chile's most representative alcoholic beverages

The traditional Chilean cocktail known as 'Terremoto' ('Earthquake', in English) is prepared by mixing a type of Chilean wine called 'vino pipeño', or white wine without designation of origin, with pineapple ice-cream, and grenadine. This drink was considered the most representative alcoholic beverage in Chile, according to 32 percent of respondents in a survey carried out in 2019. Other refreshments such as Chicha and Melón con vino, also prepared with wine, were mentioned by more than ten percent of Chileans surveyed.
