In 2020, over half of survey respondents in the UK claimed that they supported the nationalization of rail operators in the United Kingdom. Less than 15 percent of respondents opposed public ownership, and one-quarter of all survey respondents did not have an opinion on whether or not the UK’s rail operating companies should be privatized or publicly owned.
