During the coronavirus pandemic, the media has played a key role in keeping up to date with COVID-19 developments both domestically and outside of Spain's borders. In fact, according to a survey carried out during the first week of April 2020, approximately a quarter of the Spanish population stated that the media had fully done its job in explaining to people how to deal with the situation. However, approximately 30% of those surveyed indicated that the media had shown an exaggerated position at certain times of the pandemic.
