In Latvia, the forest and logging industry generated a gross value added of 392.8 million euros in 2017. The GVA generated by this industry decreased significantly by almost half a billion euros between 2011 and 2012. Ever since then, it has struggled to recover to the peak of roughly 750 million euros in 2011.
