A study from the first half of 2020 considered the performance of Amazon sponsored products in the period between February and May of that year. While in all four months the cost per click declined, both the number of clicks as well as the return on ad spend increased. In April, the number of clicks increased by 46 percent, the cost per click decreased by 18 percent while the return on ad spend rose by 13 percent.
