Looking at the degree of integrity of people in France towards their insurance company, it appears that the French are rather honest, since 69 percent of people surveyed in 2019 said that they would absolutely not be willing to commit insurance fraud. Indeed, according to this survey on the overstatement of damage value, only nine percent of French people had exaggerated the value of a damage in order to have a better compensation at least once, while a large majority of the respondents had never resorted to this type of fraud.
