The employment rate was consistently higher for men than for women in Denmark over the past 10 years. The employment rate of both genders increased overall between 2012 and 2022, but fell in 2020 after the outbreak of COVID-19. In 2022, it reached more than 71 percent for men and 65 percent for women.
