Equinor payment to Nigeria for extractive activities 2021
In 2021, the Norwegian company Equinor, formerly Statoil and StatoilHydro, paid 466 million U.S. dollars to the Nigerian government for extractive activities. The largest amount was generated by host government entitlements, which accounted for 122 million euros. Overall, the amount paid in 2021 was considerably higher compared to the preceding year.
