Oil, fuel, and distillation products represent Nigeria's main import sector. Between January and March 2021, the import of petrol into Nigeria amounted to 688 trillion Naira. According to the most recent data, published by the Nigerian company Nairametrics, there was a slight increase in the import value of oil in the last three quarters. However, the highest value was recorded in the third quarter of 2018, when roughly 855 billion Naira of petrol were exported to Nigeria.
