Market share of leading social media websites in Croatia 2024

Facebook was Croatia's leading social media website in 2024, accounting for nearly 81 percent of all social media site visits. Instagram ranked second with over eight percent of all Croatian social media site visits. It was followed by Pinterest and Twitter, with a 4.7 and 3.1 percent market share.

In 2023, Croatia had over three million social media users, marking an increase compared to the previous year. The number of social media users is expected to increase further over the upcoming years and peak at 3.64 million in 2029. Facebook is the most popular social networking site in the country, counting 2.11 million registered users in 2023.

Who are Croatian Facebook users?

Facebook has been used by all age groups in Croatia, however, the age group of 25 to 24 years olds is the most represented. In 2024, nearly 14 percent of the platform’s users were men from this generation, while women of the same age accounted for almost 13 percent of Facebook users in Croatia.
