There were 43,266 gas stations in Brazil in 2022. Between 2014 and 2017, the number of fuel stations in the South American country increased annually, reaching almost 42 thousand stations by the latter year. Afterwards, figures oscillated in the following two years, remaining below 41,000 units. This was followed by an upward trend until the 2022 figure. São Paulo is the leading Brazilian state in number of fuel stations.
