The total number of international tourist arrivals in Italy increased in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the previous year. Over the period considered, EU countries accounted for the most inbound tourist arrivals in Italy, with roughly 16.4 million arrivals between April and June 2024. This figure also surpassed the number of arrivals from EU countries reported in the second quarter of 2019, before the impact of COVID-19.
