In Colombia, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism have been harshly experienced by travel agencies. From April to June 2020, the monthly nominal income of this type of company in the Latin American country dropped by over 95 percent, when compared to the respective months of the previous year. As of August 2020, Colombia was among the ten countries with the largest number of COVID-19 cases worldwide.
