In a 2020 study, roughly 53 percent of business executives revealed that dual sourcing of raw materials is one of the planned actions to enhance resilience in supply chains and production. During that study, net present value (NPV) of predicted cumulative losses over 10 years in commercial aerospace industry is estimated around 67 percent of annual earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA).
