As of the second quarter of 2023, the foreign wholesale trade index in Singapore recorded declines in almost every industry. Foreign wholesale trade of ship chandlers and bunkering industry contracted by 36.6 percent compared to the same quarter the previous year. In contrast, foreign wholesale trade of industrial and construction machinery grew by 11.8 percent.
