As of 2020, Kenya produced around 322.6 thousand metric tons of avocados. The production volume increased from 264 thousand metric tons in 2019. Kenya is a leading producer of avocados in the world. About 70 percent of the production is done by small-scale farmers, which grow the fruits for subsistence, local markets, and export purposes.
