Bookings on Airbnb in Berlin experienced a significant decrease due to the coronavirus outbreak in 2020. The numbers peaked in the week ending March 1 at over 167 percent, representing a rise in bookings by 67 percent compared to the same period last year. However they soon fell, with the share of bookings for Airbnb properties in Berlin in the week ending May 17 reaching only two percent of last years bookings.
