Sales average price of musk melons in South Africa 2000-2019
In 2018/2019, the sales average price of musk melons on markets in South Africa increased to 10.5 thousand South African Rands (roughly 698 U.S. dollars) per metric ton, nearly 20 percent higher than in the previous period. From 2000 onwards, an overall upward trend can be observed. At that year, the average price was measured at 1,609 Rands (approximately 107 U.S. dollars) per metric ton.
