In financial year 2022, the highest demand share of thermoplastics in India was for polypropylene (PP) at 32 percent. This was followed by high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which had a demand share of 15 percent. The total demand of the Indian market accounted for about six percent of the global plastics demand.
