India's paying video service users accounted for over 48 percent in 2019, estimated to reach 48.4 percent by 2021. Since 2017, there was a significant increase in the country's video subscribers, propelling India into global rankings for video consumption. The average Indian watched at least two hours of digital content, mostly via his/her phone during the measured time period.
