This estimated price includes the average prices of basic school items, such as printed textbooks, stationery, sportswear, sports footwear, and backpacks. According to the study, the 2023/2024 school year is projected to be the most expensive to date, despite the average spending being similar to previous years. The biggest cost factor during back-to-school shopping in Spain are the textbooks.
