According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Vietnam, approximately 62 percent of the respondents aged between 45 and 54 years old stated that they ordered food from food delivery apps more often during the COVID-19 pandemic because they and their family were practicing social distancing. In comparison, eight percent of the respondents aged between 16 and 24 years old said the reason why they used food delivery apps more often was because they could not cook. The same survey showed that Vietnamese mainly ordered lunch on food delivery apps.
