According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Vietnam, approximately 51 percent of the Vietnamese respondents stated that they more often ordered food from food delivery apps during the COVID-19 outbreak because they and their family were practicing social distancing. Five percent of the respondents said the reason why they used food delivery apps more often was because they can not cook. The same survey showed that Vietnamese mainly ordered lunch on food delivery apps.

The question asked in the survey was as follows: "If you ordered more through food delivery apps: Why did you increase your food delivery apps use during this time? (up to three answers are allowed)"
