According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in April 2023, approximately 77 percent of the Chinese female respondents and 76 percent of male respondents stated that they would continue ordering food deliveries online as often even after restaurants and dining establishments are open and social distancing measures due to the COVID-19 outbreak are lifted. The same survey showed that Meituan Waimai was the most popular food delivery app.
