Nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions in OECD countries totaled 20.66 million metric tons in 2021. OECD nitrogen oxides emissions have dropped by more than 55 percent since 1990. Australia had the largest NOx emissions per capita among all OECD nations, at nearly 109 kilograms per person.
