According to a survey on household sport practice in Saudi Arabia in 2019, about 70 percent of youth female respondents practice sport to enhance their health. In comparison, majority of youth male respondents practice sport for recreational reasons and physical fitness at 59.5 percent and 58.5 percent respectively. The youth population between the age of 15 to 34 was the highest in Saudi Arabia in 2020 among all age groups.
