Growth rate of exports in Tanzania 2020-2021
Tanzania's exports of goods and services declined by nearly 12 percent in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the corresponding quarter in 2020. The fall was attributed to lower sales of traditional items, such as cashew nuts, tobacco, cotton, and coffee. Furthermore, the Tanzania tourism sector still struggles due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and that has also affected the country's exports account.
