According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in the Philippines in April 2023, the majority of the respondents across all age groups ordered more through food delivery apps during the COVID-19 pandemic. In comparison, about five percent of respondents of all ages said they stopped using food delivery apps during the pandemic.

The survey was conducted among
1,934 respondents aged 16 to 24;
4,004 respondents aged 25 to 34;
2,939 respondents aged 35 to 44;
1,061 respondents aged 45 to 54;
407 respondents 55 years and above.
