According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Malaysia, approximately 38 percent of the respondents between 45 and 54 years old stated they ordered from food delivery apps less often during the COVID-19 outbreak because they wanted to cook more for themselves and their family. Another 32 percent of the respondents between 16 and 34 years old said the reason they used food delivery apps less was because the delivery fee became higher during this time. The same survey showed that Malaysians mainly ordered lunch on food delivery apps.
