According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Malaysia, approximately 34 percent of the female and 31 percent of the male respondents said they used food delivery app less during the COVID-19 outbreak because they wanted to cook more for themselves and their family. Around 31 percent of the male respondents said the reason why they used food delivery apps less was because they had been affected by the economic impact. The same survey showed that Malaysians mainly ordered lunch on food delivery apps.
