According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Malaysia, approximately 37 percent of the respondents stated that they ordered food from food delivery apps less often during the COVID-19 because they wanted to order directly from the restaurant or establishment. Another 30 percent of the respondents said the reason why they used food delivery apps less was because they had been affected by the economic impact. The same survey showed that Malaysians mainly ordered lunch on food delivery apps.
