Over the past 50 years, show attendance has slowly but surely increased among the French population. While a third of respondents claimed to have attended a live show in 1973, that number increased by ten percent and reached 43 percent of respondents in 2018.

*The source adds the following information: "The 2018 edition of the survey includes more ways than previous editions to describe the shows that respondents were able to attend in the last 12 months. By adding world music, traditional music, RnB, electronic music, techno, hip-hop, rap, metal, hard rock and opera concerts, this practice rate would reach 49% in 2018, i.e. 6 additional points. The socio-demographic structure of audiences, with or without these additional terms and conditions remain essentially the same."
