In 2018, less than half of the French population attended a live show. Theater shows were the most popular among them as 21 percent of respondents claimed to have seen at least one, followed by variety shows and rock or jazz concerts.

The source adds the following information: "The 2018 edition of the survey includes more ways than previous editions to describe the shows that respondents were able to attend in the last 12 months. By adding world music, traditional music, RnB, electronic music, techno, hip-hop, rap, metal, hard rock and opera concerts, this practice rate will reach 49% in 2018, i.e. 6 additional points. The socio-demographic structure of audiences, with or without these additional terms and conditions remain essentially the same."
