According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Indonesia, approximately 42 percent of the respondents stated that they ordered less food on food delivery apps than usual during the COVID-19 pandemic because they wanted to cook more. Meanwhile 30 percent of the respondents said the reason why they used food delivery apps less was because they had been affected by the economic impact. The same survey showed that Indonesians mainly ordered dinner on food delivery apps.

The question asked in the survey was as follows: "If you ordered less or stopped using food delivery apps : Why did you decrease or stop your use of food deliver apps? (up to three answers are allowed)"
