Bank loan distribution to companies in Belgium 2005-2020, by company size
SMEs held the majority of loans granted by banks to companies in Belgium in early 2020, although that figure declined compared to 2019. In 2019, approximately 36 percent of Belgian respondents to a survey on corporate financing answered that bank loans were not relevant to their enterprise.
