From 2009 to 2019, the number of seizures ordered by the Italian authorities regarding CDs, DVDs, and tapes in Italy decreased overall. In 2014, the number of seizures peaked at 142. However, the highest number of counterfeited audio physical copies seized was recorded in 2012. As of 2019, the Italian authorities ordered a total of 53 seizures.
