Attitude towards restraints on outbound travels during COVID-19 in Japan 2020
According to a survey conducted by GEM Partners in Japan in December 2020, the majority of respondents, around 62 percent, were of the opinion that people must absolutely refrain from going on overseas travels amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Following the global outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020, the Japanese government declared a state of emergency in April. While it was lifted again in May, citizens were advised to remain at home and refrain from going outside.
