According to a survey conducted in China in June 2020 about shopping behavior, around 73 percent of respondents said they preferred to buy domestic brand mobile phones. Domestic brands were also strongly favored when purchasing such products as home appliances, clothing, and fresh food.

Among a total of 1,346 survey respondents 35 percent were male and 65 percent were female. The respondents came from different tier cities and covered all age groups.
