According to a 2023 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in South Korea, around 45.8 percent of female and 45.7 percent of male respondents stated that their delivery app usage decreased during the COVID-19 pandemic because food delivery companies increased their fees. Around one in three female respondents additionally wanted to improve their diets and health, while the male respondents were more concerned about the economic impact the pandemic had on them.
