Blockchain was the most used technology in the field of food tracking in Italy. A study from 2019 took into consideration 44 digital solutions for tracking of food products through the whole supply chain. 43 percent of them used blockchain, while 41 percent of them provided information through QR codes. From the production to the distribution and selling, food products were tracked with mobile applications in 36 percent of cases.
