Import value of toys into Denmark 2010-2023

The import value of toys into Denmark was approximately 275 million Danish kroner in 2022, which is a significant decrease from the previous year. By comparison, the import volume of toys showed an overall decreasing trend – while it amounted to 4.2 thousand metric tons in 2010, it was around three thousand metric tons in 2022.

 Export trade in toys 

The value of toys exported from Denmark increased overall from 2011 to 2022. By the end of this period, the toy export value amounted to approximately 313 million Danish kroner. At the same time, the volume of toys exported from the Scandinavian country fluctuated. As of 2022, the volume came to a total of nearly two thousand metric tons.

The Danish toy company LEGO belongs to the major toy companies in the world. LEGO is headquartered in Billund, Denmark. Besides manufacturing LEGO-brand toys, the group operates several amusement parks around the world (LEGOLAND Resorts) as well as their own retail stores. In the past decade, LEGO’s revenue grew significantly. In 2023, the group generated approximately 66 billion Danish kroner.
