The most often downloaded app category in Russia in the second quarter of 2020 was food delivery. That could be explained by the COVID-19 lockdown, which lasted in the country from the end of March to mid-May 2020 and several preventive measures kept in place after that period. Furthermore, approximately one third of Russians downloaded shopping apps on their mobile devices over the observed time frame.
