Breakdown of facial injectables procedures in China 2021, by segment
There has been a growing demand for facial injection procedures in China as more young consumers believe that a better appearance can boost their salaries. According to a market report released in 2022, hyaluronic acid was the most widespread facial injection procedure in China, representing two-thirds of all treatment courses. However, 53 percent of the overall market revenue was generated by botulinum toxin injections. Collagen, botulinum toxin, particle and polymer fillers, and hyaluronic acid are the major facial injectables that are effective in reducing wrinkles and face lines, and skin rejuvenation.
