Support for U.S. states closing their economies again due to COVID-19 by party 2020
42 percent of Democrats strongly support states closing down their economies again due to COVID-19 concerns, according to an August 2020 survey. Conversely, respondents who identified as Republican were split, with 13 percent strongly supporting and 28 percent strongly opposing states returning to an economic shutdown.
