The average basket size among legal cannabis consumers increased during the early weeks of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States and in some markets continued growing into May. The average basket size in California grew from 56 U.S. dollars in January to 73 dollars in March before dipping to 67 dollars in May. In contrast, basket size continued to grow in Nevada between March and May, increasing from 69 dollars to 73 dollars.
