As a consequence of the corona crisis, the majority of container shipping companies cut back on their fleet capacity in the first half of 2020. Maersk, the world's leading container lines, saw a 5.6 percent decrease in TEUs. Contrary to the majority of carriers, HMM saw a 42 percent growth in fleet capacity.
