In 2020, the average social mobility score in Panama reached 51.4 points, out of a maximum of 100. The areas measured include health, education, technology, work, social protection, and inclusive institutions. The aggregation of indicators in these focus areas allows to calculate a "progress score" which ranges from 0 to 100; the higher the score, the more that particular economy provides equal opportunities for social advancement.
