More than eight out of ten Latin Americans believed that climate change was going to worsen poverty and inequality in their country, according to a survey conducted in November 2019. Amongt 18 countries surveyed in the region, 82 percent of respondents either agreed or strongly agreed with this statement, while less than ten percent strongly disagreed.
