As per the results of a July 2020 survey conducted to understand the extent of the issues faced by consumers in India, a majority of respondents said that they have had one or more inherently defective products in the last three years. A misleading advertisement or unfair trade practice was not notified to the brand or service provider, where, nearly 46 percent of the respondents never raised an issue regarding this.
